Basic Method, Benefits and tips of Mudras in Yoga Abhyas

Basic Points for Beginner

Don`t forget pray to God and Your Master, Before start and after completion of Mudra Abhyas.

For more better result we should practice Mudras with closed eyes.

While doing Mudras in standing position keep your legs together.

Try to maintain guru Mudras through your prectice.

Keep your body and mind relaxed and practice with humbleness and sincerely without doubting the result

Do not practice for atleast 2 hours after having your food.

Women should not practice during pregnancy and monthly periods.

During practice maintain purity of mind and body.

Practice of Mudras facing North most preferable otherwise east direction.

Do not practice in toilets.

Do not Photocopy of Mudras in any form. This will increase the karma dosha.

Practice Mudras properly, since Mudras change the direction of energy.

Practice Mudras only as per the given direction and instruction.

While practice of Mudras keep the fingers positioned as per the instruction.

Mudras can also be done mentally.

Mudras can be used for distant healing. But for this one should have perfection dexterity.

After the practice slowly inhale and exhale three times from naval and then open your eyes.

Method of Mudras

1. Apan Vayu Mudra
 Alternately from both the hands we should do "Apan Vayu Mudra", start from the right hand pointer finger will touch to your palm then try to hold middle finger and ring finger on the pointer finger with thumb. check this picture of "Apan Vayu Mudra" to understand properly.
2. Gyan Mudra
Its very simple method to do gyan Mudra, put first finger (pointer) on thump and rest of three finger will be straight and together, see the below picture of Gyan Mudra.


3. Rudra Mudra
Middle finger and little finger should be on thumb and first finger (pointer) and ring finger keep straight. see the below Image of "Rudra Mudra" to understand Properly.


4. Prathvi Mudra
Use ring finger for Pruthvi Mudra, ring finger it should be kept on thumb and rest of the finger will be normal, check below image to understand easily.


5. Shankha Mudra
In Shankha Mudra, left hand`s thumb should be covered by right hand, tight grip on it and left hand`s fingers should be touched on right hand`s thumb. for easily understand check it out the below picture of Shankha Mudra.


6. Varun Mudra
Its very simple method, just keep all the finger and straight and just bend little finger on thumb and keep it there only. you can see in below picture to understand properly.


7. Vayu Mudra
Vayu Mudra should be done together with the both hands, take a tight grip on first finger (pointer) by the thumb, rest of the fingers should not be touched each other (keep some gap) check the picture of Vayu Mudra.


8. Sunya Mudra
In Sunya Mudra keep all the fingers in normal position, hold on middle finger by your thumb.


9. Apan Mudra
In Apan Mudra we used middle finger and ring finger, it should be on thumb and rest of the fingers will be normal. keep maintain presser on thumb


10. Linga Mudra
In Linga Mudra, you will think its same like apan mudra but its not true, in Linga Mudra just put both the middle and ring finger togther on thumb don`t make any presser on thumb, just it should be touched each other and try to keep tight and straight the first finger (pointer) and the little finger, see the both images to understand properly the difference of Linga Mudra and Apan Mudra.
